Portrait Sessions are one of my most popular experiences. Portraits give you and I time to connect and time to create photos tailored specifically to who you are. I take an editorial approach to these sessions and meet you where you are at with your comfortability in front of the camera. We can keep it more candid or posed depending on how you feel.

• Time: Some of the best portrait sessions take place over 1-2 hours as we explore the city together. I recommend one hour to start and if you want to add on time, we can do that!

Request a Session

Family Documentary Sessions are perfect for families who want to document the season of life they are in. Sessions are in-home or in-neighborhood. Documentary style family session activities can be discussed with Stacie. Most families choose to read books together, cuddle on the couch, walk the neighborhood, get ice cream or coffee, play games. You are welcome to dress up or keep it casual.

These sessions do include those classic smiling at the camera photos, but they also document you and your child’s real unposed relationship. We want to freeze in time your child’s energy, personality, and favorite things. Unlike traditional family photo sessions in New York City, We are not fighting for your children’s attention, we are letting them be themselves and interact with you and your family. Giving your child time to warm up to a camera being around is essential to getting sweet smiling photos of them later in the session. Stacie is familiar with working with families with children of all abilities.

I recommend booking for one hour to 90 minutes for un-rushed family sessions, especially if you want photos in your home and your neighborhood.

Whether you are planning an epically sneaky moment to pop the question or. your partner suspects you might be up to something big and romantic, you need the best stealth photographer in New York. That’s me.

Planning your proposal with me can range anywhere from doing a quick 30 minute proposal to setting up a full 4 hours of taking photos of the two of you in the city. Every proposal is customizable and Stacie is able to help with location ideas and city experiences to make your proposal moments even more magical!

What is Stacie’s Photography Style? 

Warm and moody. Stacie photographs laughs just as much as she photographs your in-between candid faces. She loves giving you prompts for how to move your body, especially if you feel stuck or unsure of how to interact with your significant other. She respects whatever level of physical touch you feel comfortable with. Her prompts encourage ongoing action and movement that makes you feel natural and fluid. She shoots 20% of your session candid and 80% of it posed, but she bets you won’t remember which photos were candid or posed because it will all feel like you just took a long walk with and old friend.  

Who is Stacie for?

I’m a good pick for both New York locals and New York visitors. Whether you’re familiar with the city or not, I know how the city works and I know how to give you the best recommendations for how to use your time and location choices. If you want to dress up in your fanciest outfits and go out to eat pizza while I tag along and snag photos, I’m game. I value the slowness every moment has to offer, and approach Proposal days with just as much care and intention as I do slower portrait sessions. I bring as much peace, care, and fun to each moment as I can.

Feeling awkward or unsure of what to do with your hands? If you feel awkward as a couple, I am great at giving your prompts and showing you how to pose. My goal is to make your photos feel candid and natural.

Seasonal Sessions are SO popular in New York City! Especially Christmas and Autumn sessions!

Honestly, No matter what season you visit New York City, your photos will be awesome. In the spring the Cherry Blossoms are soft and welcoming, in the summer the greenery is overwhelmingly lush, in the autumn the leaves are cozy, at Christmas the city lights are romantic and magical, and in the winter the city itself is still a mesmerizing backdrop to your travels.

As a local, I know all the best spots for Christmas lights, the best Autumn trees in Central park, and where all the best cherry blossoms are blooming.
