What’s New for stine creative in 2026: Film Photography, Super 8, and Video Now Available for NYC Weddings
If you're planning a wedding in New York City in 2026, you may have noticed something shifting in the wedding photography world.
Couples aren’t just looking for beautiful photos anymore — they’re looking for a variety of mediums, aesthetics, and storytelling approaches that capture the full feeling of their wedding day.
And honestly, I love this shift and have already been moving in this direction since 2024. Over the past year, I’ve officially expanded what I offer at Stine Creative — and I’m so excited to share that I now offer film photography, Super 8, and video for NYC weddings, engagements, and couples sessions.

Why I now offer film photos, super 8, & videography
When I first started photographing weddings over a decade ago, the industry leaned toward very timeless, traditional photography. Clean portraits. Cohesive edits. Classic storytelling.
But today’s couples — especially those getting married in New York City — want something more layered and artistic.
They want:
Romantic portraits
Candid in-between moments
Film photography
Motion and movement with video
A mix of timeless and funky edits
And honestly, this is already how I naturally photograph weddings. So expanding my offerings for 2026 just made sense.
Film Photography Now Available for NYC Weddings
One of the biggest additions for 2026 is film photography.
Film has always inspired my editing style — many couples already tell me my digital photos feel film-like — but now I’m officially offering 35mm film as an add-on for weddings, engagements, and couples sessions.
I now bring three different 35mm cameras to weddings — including one from the 70s and one from 1998 — and each one creates a slightly different nostalgic feel.
I typically recommend 1–2 rolls of film to complement digital coverage, creating a layered
and artistic gallery.

Super 8 Film Now Available
Vintage aesthetics are having a huge moment — and Super 8 film has become one of the most exciting ways to capture weddings.
For 2026, I’m now offering Super 8 coverage through my creative team (shoutout to Sam for being an awesome Super8 videographer!), allowing couples to add 1–3 minutes of nostalgic, cinematic footage to their wedding day.
Super 8 feels:
Nostalgic
Cinematic
Emotional
Completely different from digital video
And couples are loving the uniqueness it brings to their wedding memories.
Short Films and Candid Video Add-Ons
In 2025, I started experimenting with creating short films during sessions and weddings — and couples absolutely loved them.
So for 2026, I now offer candid video add-ons where I toggle between photography and video to capture the in-between moments. These aren’t full videography packages. Instead, they’re short, cinematic highlights that capture the feeling of the day.
This is especially popular with couples who:
Want video but don’t want a full videographer
Want something artistic and relaxed
Love candid, documentary-style storytelling
And honestly, almost every couple who booked with me in 2025 added video — which told me this was something couples really wanted.

Full Videography Now Available
For couples who want full video coverage, I’ve also teamed up with a dedicated videographer, Matt from MattCameraWeddings to offer full wedding videography coverage.
This allows couples to:
Book photo + video together
Work with a cohesive creative team
Receive both cinematic photography and video coverage
It’s been such a fun creative collaboration — and couples love having a seamless experience.
Why Variety Matters for 2026 Couples
My couples still want cohesive photos — but they’re also intentionally hiring an art-forward NYC wedding photographer who can offer a variety of aesthetics and approaches.
That’s where my style naturally lives:
Romantic
Candid
Cinematic
Sometimes editorial
Sometimes funky
Always intentional
I often ask couples how timeless vs. funky they want their photos to feel — and most couples love a thoughtful balance of both.
Because weddings aren’t just one feeling — they’re layered, emotional, and fast-moving. And offering multiple mediums helps capture that full story.
2026 NYC Wedding Photography Offerings
For 2026, Stine Creative now offers:
Digital Photography
Film Photography (35mm)

These offerings allow couples to create a wedding experience that feels romantic, nostalgic, cinematic, and uniquely theirs.

NYC Wedding Photography with an Art-Forward Approach
Most couples hire me because they want photos that feel:
Romantic
Nostalgic
Cinematic
Funky
Film-like
They want a mix of candid moments and editorial portraits — and they want to feel present throughout their wedding day.
That’s always my goal.
Because at the end of the day, I’m not just documenting your wedding — I’m helping you create something that feels like an elevated, but real version of you.
If you're planning a New York City wedding, City Hall ceremony, or intimate celebration in 2026, I’d love to help you create something layered, artistic, and meaningful.
