I had the honor of attending AnimeNYC as a guest this year and got to take some BTS photos before the Cosplay Contest. THESE COSPLAYERS ATE. To me, these are AnimeNYC Cosplay Photos that Feel Like Film. I opened up my shutter to get more light blur. And I love the vibe the flash and light gave to these photos. This is the same effect I use for Wedding receptions, but I love that with the cosplayer costumes the effects were way way cool.

Also, there's nothing cooler than attending a convention at Javit's Convention Center. It's huge, right on the Hudson, and full of wonderful humans. While I've been to both Comic Con and Anime Con, I've also attended a dog convention there (and am so sad I didn't bring my camera for that one).

Mad respect for the work put into these outfits. The work put into the performances as well. It's not just a runway, it's a performance when it comes to these contests. It's so so cool and inspiring.
